Hi, i’m Scott

A business guy, a founder, a director, a mentor, an advisor, a husband, a father, a sailor and someone who loves helping people have a crack and succeed.

A little about me..

Over the years, I've been lucky enough to run a number of market leading businesses and start-ups, worked with great people and clients and learnt from both success and ‘not so successful’. Today, I operate as an independent consultant, partnering with founders and executives to help drive effective growth in their business. I draw on a breadth of experience to:

01.

Establish and deliver effective growth programs for businesses

02.

Derive new or enhance existing marketing strategies and help bring them to life

03.

Play 'devil’s advocate' to optimise current business plans and strategies

04.

Bring real technology, marketing and disruptive experience to boards

“Scott has a track record of building innovative, forward facing, industry leading-businesses. He combines strategic client thinking, problem solving via technology, with a focus on people and culture. Scott’s career and track record speak for themselves.”

The ‘Effective Growth’ Formula

I’ve had success in large, market leading organisations as well as challenger brands. Whilst both are very different, my underlying formula for success is similar… I like to operate at the intersection where passionate people combine with technology, creativity and an innovative approach to solve problems and drive effective growth.

This, I believe when viewed through a smart commercial lens, and wrapped in a ‘JFDI’ (just f’n do it!) attitude, is where true value is created.

Outside of work, i’m a proud husband and father, and enjoy cooking, sailing, cycling and skiing when the snow is good :)

I love a Barossa Shiraz or Eden Valley Riesling and I’m starting to really appreciate a refreshing Gin and tonic.

Much to the detriment of my garage, I also like tinkering with things - pulling apart and rebuilding to see how they work, and continually improving things I do.

I strongly believe in finding things you’re passionate about, putting a huge amount of effort into making them happen, and doing it with great people while having fun along the way.

My article ‘My top 10 drivers to success and happiness in business’ pretty much sums it up: http://bit.ly/sptop10
